This 1400-year-old ginkgo tree is growing in the garden of Guanyin Buddhist temple in China. Every autumn, sometime in mid-November, the giant turns yellow and slowly drops leaves, hiding the land around it under the dense yellow carpet. This event each year attracts many tourists.
